Resources and Logins

Here is a list of important resources to help you get started with distance learning, as well as important login information to be able to utilize education sites that we will be using. 

Zearn

Every child was provided their Zearn login and password, as well as the class code in the folder that went home the first week. If you need us to resend your  login and password, please let us know and we will get that to you.

Readworks
Readworks.org

Readworks.org is one of the literacy sites we will be using for reading instruction.  For students to complete assignments on ReadWorks please follow these steps:

1. Go to readworks.org
2. Click the student login button on the top right of the screen.
3. Enter the classroom code: 4RCUQU
4. Click on your student name
5. Enter the password: 1234
6. Click on the assignment posted with the correct due date
7. Students should read the passage twice 
8. After reading, click the tab to the right of the passage tab that says questions
9. Complete the questions and submit.
10. Grading will be completed online.

Tips: On the top right side of the reading passages page you will see 4 icons.  The two farthest to the right are great tools. Please explore these two options with your child:

The icon with that says abc allows for a reading strip for tracking the print.

The icon with the split screen image allows for you to see the reading while completing the comprehension questions when/if you need to look back.

Zoom

We will be using Zoom for Friday conferencing.  It has been made FREE for school use during this time.  Please download Zoom to your computer or iPad so we can conference together.  Here is a quick link that explains what it is and how it works. Please download this before our first meeting on Friday.
