9:30 a.m. Zoom Meeting With Ms. McKinny-
Ms. McKinny would like to invite students and parents to an optional zoom call on this morning at 9:30 before our class lessons. This is an informal time to say hello to families and check in with her and ask any questions that you may have. Meeting ID and password were sent out last week, and we will be posting to Dojo as well.

Please print out the math assessment listed below, and have your child bring it to the Zoom meeting to take with together with the class. There won't be any Zearn today.
Reading:
Part 1- Please login to your ReadWorks account, read The Pool, and answer the comprehension questions. You may also choose to print the pdf below.
Part 2- Complete an additional 20 minutes of daily reading with a book of choice from home. You may use the weekly reading log posted below or you may create one of your own.
Science:
This week we will exploring how even though all plants need water and sunlight, they don’t all need them in the same amounts. We will solve the mystery, "Where do plants grow best?" and you have the chance to play a game called “Plant Survivor.” Please have your child watch the Mystery Science Video posted below. The science materials posted below are for the optional game "Plant Survivor". It is a super fun way for your kiddo to practice their new gardening skills.
You can help support this week’s learning by involving your child in the selection and care of plants at home, whether indoors or outside. If you can, consider visiting the garden center of a nearby home improvement store, where your child might especially enjoy seeing some of the strange forms of cactuses and succulents.
